Sue Garner ISPA, MGCP opened Serenity seven years ago. Her aim and ethos was to create a professional and relaxing establishment where clientele could relax, unwind and enjoy treatments in a haven of peace and tranquillity. After 40 years in the industry she realized there was a need to create this Oasis to help her clients find complementary ways to reduce the stresses and strains in their lives and improve and enhance their lifestyles.

The facilities at Serenity go beyond those of most therapeutic establishments in so much as they offer not only the treatment chosen but also an opportunity to unwind and relax prior to the treatment and after in a harmonious setting. These facilities also include a shower room, detox box and personal care and attention of all the staff.

The Detox Box and associated benefits of this treatment are immense. A half hour session can burn up to 600 calories, aiding weight loss and the treatment can provide alleviation from symptoms associated with rheumatic and arthritic conditions and all manner of skin complaints such as eczema. However, you don't need a specific complaint to enjoy and benefit from a session, or course of sessions as it promotes a cleansing of the system and general sense of well-being.

Two new therapists have recently joined our team here at Serenity.

Among the treatments I offer are: ear candling; Swedish massage; eyelash and eyebrow tinting; eyelash perming; manicure and pedicure; gel nails; nail art and paraffin wax skin treatments. The atmosphere is relaxed and inviting not only for the customer but as part of the staff'.

'Hi, I’m June Spencer and I’ve been at Serenity since May 2007, and qualified as a therapist for the past eight years. I am fully qualified and certified in all the areas that I work and have travelled extensively to train in all the various therapies.
Amongst the treatments I offer are Swedish massage; reflexology; aromatherapy; Indian head massage; Reiki; Emotional Freedom Technique and Colour Breathing Therapy. The treatments I offer are given with a holistic approach to your well-being and your comfort and satisfaction are my ultimate concern.'
