Frequently Asked Questions

For Advertisers

  1. How much does it cost?

Surprisingly little (we would say that, wouldn't we?) We're quite happy to be upfront with our costs. We're confident that you'll soon see the benefits and recoup your investment several times over. Standard Promotion cost just £15 per month, with a £30 initial fee to set everything up. Higher profile, Enhanced Promotions cost £30 per month - again with the initial fee of £30.

  2. How does it work for my business?

By offering customers discounts, freebies and other incentives you can gain new business, or repeat business from existing customers. Sometimes customers need a bit of encouragement to try eating somewhere new, or trying a different supplier for a service they normally get elsewhere. Vouchers make that decision easier for a customer to make. It's also an opportunity for you to get back in front of your lapsed customers' eyes. Perhaps they used you a year or two ago but simply forgot you or decided not to come back. A tempting offer might give you the chance to impress that customer once again. And you can see the results in your till. Each voucher represents a successful sale that you might otherwise never have made.

  3. How does it work for my customers?

The easiest way to find out is to explore the site. Use the menu or the search box on the left and see the vouchers other companies are offering. If a customer sees something they like, they can print the voucher and redeem it against your products or services. Better still, they can share your offers with their friends. The 'email to a friend' link means that even if an offer's not for them, they can send it to someone who will get the most out of it.

  4. I'm not very good with computers? how do I get my vouchers on here?

The good news is you don't have to know anything about computers. All the technical stuff is handled by us. A member of the Voucherclick team will visit you at your premises. We will collect all the information we need then we add your company to the website along with your voucher.

  5. Once I've got a voucher on the site, what happens if I want to change it?

We're happy for you to change your voucher at any time through the year. It's a great bonus for you to tie in with seasonal events or local news. In fact we encourage you to take advantage of this flexibility and recommend you change your promotion regularly to meet the needs of your business and your customers.

  6. I don't have a website - does that matter?

If you're not online, then you can still use our site. In fact, your listing acts as a mini-website anyway, with contact details and information about your business. We handle all of the technical stuff for you and customers print off the vouchers so you don't need any fancy systems to work with us. However, if you'd like a website, then please give us a call. We have a network of local contacts and would be happy to put you in touch with a local website design company.

  7. I've got an email database of customers - can I tie this in somehow?

Absolutely. You can email your customers a link direct through to your voucher on any communication you have with them. It's a brilliant way to entice lapsed customers back or encourage your existing customers to spend more.

  8. Who can use this site?

The short answer: anyone! The long answer: anyone with a business who wants to win new customers using vouchers. If your business has dead slots, then vouchers can help to fill them. If your business is new and needs to win trust vouchers can be a great way to introduce yourself. If you'd like to entice back old customers or get customers coming back and spending more, then vouchers are the answer.

  9. My business isn't in the Grimsby area - can I still use the site?

We plan to roll Voucherclick.com across the whole country at some point, but at the moment we are focusing on the Grimsby and Cleethorpes area. If you would like to be informed when Voucherclick begins to expand, drop us a line and we'll be in touch..

  10. Aren't vouchers a bit 'old hat'?

It is certainly true that vouchers are an old idea. But they've lasted for one simple reason: they work. Customers like vouchers because it lets them save money whilst doing things they want to do. And businesses like vouchers because they not only get new business, but they can see exactly how much it is worth ? and where it came from.

  11. Why shouldn't I just put my vouchers in the local press?

There are two major advantages when you compare the Voucherclick.com service to your local newspaper. Cost - no expensive print and distributions costs with Voucherclick.com. Just a small monthly fee to promote your company to thousands of people. Flexibility - You can change the details of your voucher at any time to suit the changing needs of your business without the enormous expense of a new press campaign. Voucherclick.com works on the principle that your vouchers are only seen and used by people who are interested in the first place. That improves your , Return on Investment by lowering cost and increasing the likelihood that your vouchers will be used.
